Errors trying to update Backup Exec 12.5

I have installed Symantec Backup Exec 12.5 rev 2213 over a Windows 2003 R2 Server with latest patches and security updates.
3 months ago I updated Backup Exec using LiveUpdate with no problems.
Today I'm trying to update to the latest patches without success.
This is what I'm doing.
I launch LiveUpdate from inside Backup Exec and tells me:


I have these 4 updates available (they are already downloaded twice)
I choose "next" and installation begins, but fails in 20 seconds telling me:


I click on the provided link (LU1812 error) and it launches a web with some kind of utility to fix live update after registering a msxml3.dll. I do it and after this I launch the web-based utility.
I'm told "You must run this tool as an Administrator. Please right click the Internet Explorer shortcut, and then click Run as administrator. If you receive this same message, please log in to an account that has Administrator rights and re-run this action."

But of course I'm accesing the machine as a local admin and as a domain admin.

I've tried to download the hotfixes manually and they also fail.
¿Any help or advice?

LU1812 is a very generic error message and if you want to find out the exact error, go to Documents & settings\all users\application data\symantec\backup exec\logs and look into bkupinst.htm

if possible post atleast last 50 lines from that log file so that we can get a more clear idea.

Hi There,

download and install SP2 for Backup Exec 12.5 manually and then try to re-run the live update.

Thanks, tech29, but I installed two months ago sp3. ¿Do i  have to reinstall sp2 or sp3 or none of them?
