Hi!
When trying to connect ot Microsoft Exchange 2016 DAG the credentials are failing to test and no DBs are visible. The Logon account is a member of Domain Admins. The BE Debug Monitor is showing "BEREMOTE Did not detect Microsoft cluster (2016DAG01)".
Any idea of how to resolve this, please!

Have you installed the agent for windows on all nodes of the DAG and made sure that agent publishing is working for each node (as a simple test can you backup a file from the C: drive of each node)

Yes we did. We are able to backup the C: drive and the system state of both members of the DAG.

is the selection made from the exchange dag dns name? and not from one of the nodes?

Correct.

what is the version of backupexec? on which OS?
what is the OS of exchange cluster?

BE 2016 on Server 2012R2
Exch Cluster is on Server 2012R2 as well.

did you apply all required settings mentioned in appendix F of the admin guide?
does the account used for backup have a mailbox? this mailbox cannot be hidden in the gal. this mailbox must be unique (A unique name does not share the first five characters in another mailbox name.
For example, if EXCH1 is entered as the mailbox name, and there is another mailbox
name such as EXCH1BACKUP, then Backup Exec cannot accept the name. You
are prompted to choose another mailbox name.)
and much more?

Yes, yes and yes. I went over it again just now. The user has ALL rights to everything.

It is probably time to log a formal support case then

Gladly! But we are trying to evaluate this backup solution before bying it and support "Is not available for a trial users". Funny thing is, ability to backup Exch2016 DAG is a deal breaker.
