I would like to backup Exchange 5.5 (info store and dir) on an NT 4.0 server to removable media using BE for Windows. I downloaded the trial of BE for Win 11d and soon discovered that this was not supported. My dilemna is that I am currently licensed and using BE 9.1 to backup other servers and I did not purchase the Exchange Agent for that version (which of course is no longer available) as I was using another program to backup Exchange. Now I would like to use BE for this purpose however the current available version is not supported and I can't obtain the agent for the older version as I was told by a Symantec rep that it was no longer available. Is there any option for this scenario. Please advise. Thanks.
Backup Exec 10d still supports Exchange 5.5 and is still a supported version of Backup Exec. You should be able to purchase 10d and the licenses for it.
