Exchange Backup fails :

I am running microsoft information store backup on B2D folder,backup running for 7 hours gives error : 

V-79-57344-759 - Unable to complete the operation for the selected resource using the specified options. The following error was returned when opening the Exchange Database file: '-528 The current log file is missing.

Could anyone suggest any reason for the above and possible solution.

What is the version of BE ? Is it completely patched ?

Is GRT enabled for the Exchange backup job ?

The version is 12.5 , updated. Yes GRT enabled.

...try running a backup of Exchange via Windows's internal backup utility, and once done, run the backup of Exchange with BE.

u mean to run backup by NTBACKUP and then run from BE?

Was the backup ever successful ? What kind of B2D are backing up to ? Is it on a NAS or local disk ?

well i ran NTBACKUP for exchange a week ago and it completed successfully.

Actually i didnt tool exchange backup from last 1 month for some reasons, then last week i took NTBACKUP of exchange and yesterday i tried to take backup from BE and it appeared this error.

Same Error after performing NT backup..

...then I would suggest running a diagnostic check against Exchange to make sure that it is consistent. Once done, run a backup of Exchange again using BE.
