Backup Exec 12.5, patched, current, working, backing up about a dozen servers. Added an Exchange 2010 server, Windows 2008 patched current & Exchange patched current. Installed the Backup Exec agent for Windows servers on Exchange. C: and D: and System State are available, but the Info Store does not show up when drilling down to add it to the job selection list. What am I missing?
Thanks

BE 12.5 does not support Exchange 2010. You would need to upgrade to BE 2010 to backup Exchange 2010. See the SCL's below
BE 2010|2010 R2|2010 R3 Software (SCL)
You can upgrade to BE 2010 R3 (the latest release) for free if you ware on a current maintenance contract. You will need a new set of licence keys for BE 2010 and you can download BE 2010 R3 from either fileconnect or www.backupexec.com.

Also, if you do plan to upgrade to BE 2010 for backing up Exchange 2010, do ensure your media server is eitehr Win 2008 R2 or atleast Win 2008 x64...

There is no 32-bit Win 2008 and there is no requirement to use Win 2008 R2.

Actually, Win 2008 does come out in 32bit as well, though not R2 which is only 64bit...If backing up Exchange 2010, media server has to be on a 64bit server....- http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH126204
