Hi,

If the above did not solve the issue, please do the below steps.

1) Uninstall the Exchange Agent Licence from your BE server.

2) Reboot the BE server.

3) Install the License Back.

If the Backup is failing on Tapes, please do the step 4 and 5.

4) On Exchange Server, Open Registry editor . - First Export Registry, before making any changes.

Browse to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VirtFile

Value: VFF Extended Timeout
Type: DWORD
The Maximum value is 600 seconds.
Start out at 240 seconds at first. If error still occurs then 480, before going to 600.
Restart all the Backup Exec Remote Agent service for the changes to take effect.

5) STEPS TO ADD THE REGISTRY SETTING
  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
  1. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  2. Type PoolUsageMaximum as the entry name, and then press ENTER.
  3. Right-click PoolUsageMaximum, and then click Modify.
  4. Click Decimal.
  5. In the Value data box, type 60, and then click OK (if its Exchange 2003 - make value 40).

Then restart Exchange server and check the backups.

The steps 4 and 5 are from article http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH127758 .

Please update results.
