Exchange backups get stuck on "Updating Catalogs"

We recently upgraded to Exchange 2016 and having issues with Backup exec updating catalogs.  Backup times will not complete in time.  Tech support solution is to disable GRT however we do use GRT so this is not a viable solution.  We were able to backup Exchange 2013 with out a hitch.

If I am not mistaken, FP2 is required to support CU6.

That was a mistake. We are indeed on FP2.
