Exchange restore 2007, ERROR: 10 Error: Invalid device

Restore exchange 2007 from B2D doesn't worked. I've already reset the account for backup (xchbackup) but still have no luck. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

This problem is occurring on and off and the restore seem never work smoothly driven me crazy.

Was Exchange version upgraded post backup ? For egs. backed up Exchange 2007 Standard & now are trying to restore to Exchange 2007 Enterprise ? If yes, will need to install the exact same version & retry the restore.

Exchange wasn't changed. Just the BE is upgraded. FYI. Thanks for your reply.

Is the remote agent on the target server also updated ?

Are you restoring to the original or to a different location ? would you pls state what options did you select for the restore.

Agent is already updated on the target server by remote installation, restoring to original and RSG both failed with same error. no other option is selected FYI.

It's done. I've Outlook installed in the Exchange Server that killed the MAPI CDO 1.2.1. Once the Outlook is removed and the MAPI CDO reinstalled, everything works fine. Thanks for your help VJ
