Hi
I am trying to backup a exchange 2007 which is on win2008R2 server. The backup exec sever is 2012sp1a on win2003 server. the full backup is fine but the incremental backups gives this exception.
Resource \\exchange2007.domainname.com\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group was found in the previous instance of this job, but it is not present in this job.
Resource \\exchange2007.domainname.com\Microsoft Information Store\Second Storage Group was found in the previous instance of this job, but it is not present in this job.
But it has worked for a while and last 2 incremental backups has also worked fine. My backups are going to tape. Can anyone tell if exchange full and incrementals if backing up to tape not supported. If somebody gives any KB article for that or if it is mentioned under admin guide of 2012.
Please help!!!

Do you have any data other than exchange databases in the same selectionlist?
Have a look at this TN: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH191085

Hello
I have c:\ e:\ system state and information store selected in the backup job
I have already checked the article by googling before I posted my first comment. It says that there is some problem in the software and needs to consult Symantec support. My question is does it even support full and incremental backup to tape for exchange2007 information storage.

Yes, it does.
...and i would recommend you to seperate file system backups from information store backups.

It could be some mailboxes are deleted, thus they are found in previous jobs, but not in this job.
