Failed incrementel backup in Backupexec 2012

Hello!

I have a problem on a SBS 2011 server.

The thing is that all Incrementel fails but the full works... Here is the log.

Backup- SRV1V-79-57344-65233 - Snapshot Technology: Initialization failure on: "\\SRV1.runessvets.local\Microsoft Information Store\Public Folder Database 1364941537". Snapshot technology used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).

Snapshot technology error (0xE000FED1): A failure occurred querying the Writer status.

Check the Windows Event Viewer for details.

Writer Name: Exchange Server, Writer ID: {76FE1AC4-15F7-4BCD-987E-8E1ACB462FB7}, Last error: The VSS Writer failed, but the operation can be retried (0x800423f3), State: Failed during prepare backup operation (7).

 

The incrementel only runs for like 1,5 h then fails and only runs like 30 gig.

Ive tried restart the server and checkt vvsadmin list writers and there is one that always time out ..

Pls ensure Advanced Open File Option (AOFO) is not explicitly chosen in the backup job properties.

Try restarting the Information Store service & rerun the backup. If this does not help, try a reboot as well.

Hello! I turned of AOFO bu still the same.. But i remeber i forgot to restart information store så im running a backup again to se if it works.. One thing i hvae notice is that i installed backupexec on another sbs 2011 and have the same problem there! Full backup works and incrementel fails.. All the Writers are okej if you do a vssadmin list writers.. /Johan

Hello, If this is still a problem after you restart the information store please check to see if there are any errors in Windows event? also check for any maintenance running during the backups? Make sure that any SQL maintenance doesnt run between the full and incrementals? Thanks,

Make sure all of your Live Updates are ran from Backup Exec. Do you need to backup Sharepoint? Please try removing it from the job then run the full and then the incremental again. Thanks!

Tank you for answering! Backupexec is up too date and i have remove sharepoint from the backupjobb. But i still get the same fault..
