Hi,

Nothing solve the problem, so i configured the backup job without enabling GRT because we don't need to have individual restore from vHD Hyper-V files.

and this error disappeared.

Here the tests that doesn't work :

Ø TEST 1 : with and without GRT option, AOFO option....
Ø TEST 2 : Agents Update on host

Ø TEST 3 : Change ID connexion on services (host and VM) with administrator rights : Backup Agent, VolumeShadowsCopy, SQL VSS...

Ø TEST 5 : The domain administrator has been added in local security (host and VM) and back to TEST 1

Hi,

Any news here...?
Has a Symantec employee on the forums helped you, or have you looked into logging a call with their support centre?

Is the GRT enabled under the "Microsoft Virtual Server " in the job property ?

Did you try running the same job to Disk?

And am guessing you have followed :

Are the virtual machines  in cluster shared volume?

Hi,

I was running into a similar error while trying to backup a Hyper-V VM to a removable RDX disk drive:

"Backup- VRTSRV::\\VICTOR.lablan.net\Hyper-V?Virtual?Machine\W2K8 USB RDX DELL
V-79-57344-38721 - Failed to mount one or more virtual disk images:

Error mounting disk(s): UNKNOWN_ERROR (0xe00084af).
"

and contacted Symantec support.  They suggested I apply the patch listed below and amazingly it works!  Now I am able to backup my VM (both the complete VM and even the individual files) and even restore individual files to the VM.
