File exclusions

Hi,

Like many here - I had problems backing up Notes DBs after upgrading to BEX 11d.

I've now changed the reg to allow 'offline' backups - and hope that tonight my .nsf files will back up okay.

I was amazed that the backup completes successfully with no errors despite missing all the .nsf files - and am now worried that perhaps BEX 11d excludes other files without the decency to tell me in the log.

Is someone here able to confirm whether any other file types are automatically excluded?

Notes (and MSSQL and MSExchange) database files are skipped due to a feature called Active File Exclusion

Thanks Ken - I've already disabled it and it worked fine last night.

Still think it's inexcusable to not backup some files - and not report it in the log....

Yeah, they stuck this little "feature" in with v9.0, but you have to really hunt around the Admin Guide to find references to it
