First SDLT does not eject tape in drive pool after job completes

I have a drive pool consisting of 2 SDLT drives. A backup job uses this pool and is set to eject upon completion. The job transfers from SDLT#1 to SDLT#2 fine, but when the job is complete, only SDLT#2 ejects it's tape... SDLT#1 does not.

Any ideas on what to look for?

Hi,

Can you manually eject the tapes?

Please ensure that the device drivers ans the SCSI firmware and the drivers are updated.

The tape drive responds correctly to all other requests, including an eject duirng a job that only runs on one tape in that drive. the problem appears to only be when the backup spans the 2 tape drives (2 drives in the device pool).
