GRT and restoring a database

Not applicable

We are running full backups of our Exchange 2003 Server every night. Our backups are first to virtual tape and then duplicated to tape.   I recently was reviewing the GRT technology and I have it working with Individual mail message restores.  However, I have not tested to see if there are issues with GRT turned on and restoring an entire database.  Has anyone seen any issues with this?

I've not had any issues, provided I had at least build 7170 of Backup Exec 11d installed with Service Pack 2.

It's very easy to just create a Recovery Storage Group in Exchange, and restore the entire database to that.

Then using a tool like ExMerge, you can extract entire mailboxes to .PST files. Works very nicely.
