HP Autoloader 1/8 Drive offline

Hello.

I have very often HP StoreEver 1/8 G2 LTO-6 Ultrium 6250 SAS drive - offline

OS server windows 2012 r2

HP LTT utility all test passed.

1. As I said earlier, uninstall any Insight software. 2. You need to install the Microsoft driver using the procedure in this document http://www.veritas.com/docs/000027467

1) If you are running the HP Insight software, uninstall it

2) Make sure that the tape library appears in the Windows Device Manager as an Unknown Medium Changer with a Microsoft driver and the take drive should have a Symantec driver. Both devices must be functioning correctly in the Device Manager.

3) Run the HP LT&T utility against both devices to check for hardware errors. Make sure you select the write test and that you have stored all the BE services beforehand

1.  HP Insight management agent - uninstall , installed only HP Insight management WBEM Providers for Windows 

2. MY OS is windows 2012 r2 - drivers Medium Changer devices and Tape drivers - Hewlett Packard installed 

3. HP LT&T utility all test passed

Please check you adamm.log as it will give more details about why the device went offline.  Please post your adamm.log here and we will help you decode it.

I would suggest using hte Microsoft tape drivers rather than the HP tape drivers.
