Help with BE agents & options

I am presently using Backup Exec 2010 to backup Windows Server to tape at two remote offices.  I'd like to make a switch to backing up to NAS, and I need some guidance on what BE options I will need.  Here's what I'd like to accomplish:

-Backup Windows Server 2008 R2, preferably on an hourly basis, to a NAS device

-Do bare metal restore

-Restore individual files/folders

-Backup and restore of SQL 2008 databases

I would also like to replicate the backups on the NAS to a NAS on another subnet (connected via T1) for disaster recoveyr purposes.

Can I do all this with BE, and what are all the pieces I'd need?

You will require a SQL agent per SQL server to backup online DB.

Create a B2D on the NAS device to store your backups(no license required)

Individual flat file/folder restore possible with any license key.

You need license keys to backup & restore any specify application like Exchange, Sharepoint or SQL.

Create a duplicate job to replicate data from 1 NAS to another it will be a slow process instead

simply copy B2D file across NAS.

What about bare metal recovery?  Does BE 2010 do this?  Or do I need Sym System Recovery?

BackupExec does OK with idnetical or nearly identical hardware

For dis-similar hardware Symantec System Recovery  (formerly BESR) is the way to go.

System Recovery is also a block level backup rather than file level backup, so tends to be a bit faster, especially with lots of small files
