Hold the job

Hi,

Can we hold the job which is running ,shutdown the server and start the job again from where we hold the job.

Actually ,i did the above thing and the job failed with communication error.

Question 2: when we re-run the job,will the job start it where it left or start from the beginning.

This feature is not available in Backup Exec 2010. In backup exec 2012 we have a feature called check point restart which allows job to resume from same point where it stopped. Sill you can not hold a running job.

When you rerun the job, it will start from the beginning.
