If you have a stand-alone tape drive then it will always be marked Offline until you put it into the drive. No way around that.

If you are using a tape library, then put the tape into the library and scan/inventory the slot that the tape is in

when i run scan no action happend please advise.

i deleted the media from offline. is that right or wrong?

If you are not using barcode labels, then scan will not work. You need to run an inventory. Do read the tape management portion of the Admin Guide
