How can i change the Backup Sequence ?

Hi,

weve installed tbe BackupExec software which saves several servers,

i just want to change the order of the servers, how/where can i setup which server has to be backed up first, which second etc etc ?

If your backup has only one selection list you can edit the selection list, choose resource Order, and you can move resources up and down the list.

when i went to the properties of my actual backup job i have under Sources just 4 Entrys:

( sorry have to translate that )

Source:

- List of Servers/Shares which i can backup

- Ressource Credentials to login

- Priorities

- Notification

And i cant change the backup sequence over there. did you have 5 entries ?

Yes, on my version of 11d, there is a 5th option for selection lists, "Resource Order".

If for some reason you don't have that, another method might be to split each server into its own selection list, then use the Priority option for each server, or simply stagger the start times for each job (say by 1 minute).

but the question is why did u see the 5th and i dont ?

is the option also available in 10D ?

because i have to think about a reinstall of the backup exec stuff, but it doesnt makes sense when i re-install the stuff and still have only 4 options instead of 5....
