Expired media usually won't be deleted automatically unless all of the media that is dependent on the expired piece of media is also expired. In other words if the Full backup is Expired, by default it won't be deleted until all of the dependent incremental/differential media is also expired.
If you right click on the expired media set and select Show Dependent, it will display the other medias that are probably preventing the expired from being deleted.

In addition to the above, if your media are removable disks, you got to leave the disk in the drive for a couple of hours for DLM to delete the expired backup set.

Hi. My media is a fixed disk (NAS). The backup set does not have dependen backup sets but the backup sets are not deleted.
If I check the Audit Log I can see the DLM is working. It says Deleted Expired Media, etc., but the Backup sets remain in the Disk, without freeing up the space needed
I have backup exec 2015 FP 5 installed.
Best Regards
