As far as I know you just need to make sure it is installed as such the relevant article is from the OS vendor (Microsoft) and not us

Just so you know the way Instant Recovery works with VMware is that because Vmware can use NFS as a datastore location, we in effect use NFS to stand up the Backup to Disk set from your VM backup - hence we need NFS to be enabled within the OS (which it is not by default).
