How to backup a Sharepoint 2013 farm

Hello Sym-People,

Recently we have installed a new Sharepoint 2013 farm which consist of the following systems:

1 Application node

2 WFE nodes

2 SQL nodes

All nodes are VMs in VMware 5.5U2 with Windows 2012 R2

The SQL nodes (SQL version 2014) are members of  WFC with clustered share volume. Actually it is an Active-Passive cluster due to lack of required SQL core licenses.

Our Backup Exec environment consists of a Physical BE server 2014SP1 running on a Windows 2008R2 x64 std with deduplication storage and an HP tape library.

Does anyone knows or have  an exprerience on how can I properly-efficiently  protect the above infrastrcture?

Is there any Symantec specific guidance, best practices or insights etc.?

Thank you in advance for your help

Install remote agent on every node of the Farm. Provide the web server's information while adding the Sharepoint Farm container under Backup & Restore tab. Do ensure the BE account has permissions per http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH75907

Select the entire Farm resource during the backup. Setup another backup job to backup the system DBs (master, model) from the SQL servers directly.
