Hello,

when I follow artcle 240249- How to change the order in which Backup Exec will use tape devices in a Cascaded Drive Pool

 I still cannot get my DriveA to start first, it will still follow a random pattern between both drives.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I've read this page and have tried setting up the priorities however whenever I put in a new tape it resets this priotity option back to 10 for each device and I have to manually go and change it again on a daily basis. I'm looking for a more automated way of doing this.

it was a known problem "under investigation" in April of last year

I'd say you are SOL as far as a fix from Symantec goes
