How to make a copy of a backup?

Derec

Hi,

I have Backup Exec create backups on a regular basis. Now, I would like to create a copy of a previously created backup, so I can put that instance of the backup into long term storage. I can't find any documentation or forum post on how to do that, if at all possible (other than restoring the backup and backing up the restored version to a remote location).

Does anyone have an idea or pointer on how to do this?

Thanks

Derec

Hi Derec,

As per your concern..I think you would like to create a duplicate backup of already backed up data (Data you backed up in the past).

Hi Derec,

You can create a duplicate job of a backup to a tape or another disk storage.

Simply add a duplication job on the job settings of the client server.

Kindly see this link:

Hope this helps.

Thanks,

Thanks to both of you! That worked like advertised (and I guess I should have found that Tech Note)!

Thanks
