Is it possible to get confirmation that this is the correct process to use for BE 2014 also?
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH67296
The article's supported products do NOT include BE 2014, so I am hestiant to follow it unless I get confirmation from Symantec.
Also, if this server is the "main" CASO server, how does that affect the process?
I'm not sure how to remove the "main" CASO server from the CASO environment, since it is the "parent". Does the CASO "parent" role need to be moved to another node first? (if that's even possible)

In this case, you'll have first convert each MMS servers to stand-alone servers, then make the CASO as well as a stand-alone server before moving the CASO to a new server and post migration, convert the servers back to CASO and MMS accordingly.
You can then follow the first KB mentioned by you for the server migration.

You need to keep the server names the same or there will be many side affects.
How to migrate (move) Backup Exec 2014 from one computer to another using the same version of Backup Exec and Windows, and the same computer name

According to my boss, this is not an option.
I'm sure we are not the only ones to have ever been in this situation.
Why does 2014 seem to have this unique requirement, but older versions do not?
