How to properly partition storage

we have a 48 slot 2 drive robotic library.

by default BE wants to partition using 6 x 8

i cant figure out how to change the partitioning?

example.

can i have 1 partition of 8 slots. and a second partition of 40 slots?

Hello,

to configure the partitions you can click on the Storage tab, right-click the robotic library click configure partitions then lick the storage tab, right-click the robotic library for which you want to create partitions and follow the wizard to finish configuring the partitions

Yes you can have partitions with any number of slots selected. When BE gives you the partition option you can move the slots up and down and selct the number of partions you want to have.
