How to restore from tape to a different server's Hyper-V using SDR

Hello,

Thanks for the help in advance. Here's the setup:

My colleague backs up data from server1, server2, ... serverN to LTO6 tapes. I want to verify the tapes are correctly backed up and perform a test recovery. I bring the said tapes to a COOP site, where I have a lab_server (Windows 2008 R2 and Veritas BE 2016). I run an inventory and catalog of the tapes and I see server1, server2, ... serverN and the backup sets from the tapes.

On lab_server, I fire up a VM via Hyper-V and boot up the VM with an SDR. I configure the network and there is connectivity between the VM and lab_server. I see the server but nothing from the "point in time" dropdown menu.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello, 

Few things to check due to which this issue may occur:

1) Is the SDR disk updated with the latest DR files? If not then try to recreate the SDR and then check the result.

2) Is the Backup Exec server in your lab environment part of any cluster?
