Hi all,

Here is what I thought would be a simple question, but one that I cannot find a straight answer to.

I need to re-install my BE. How can I backup the existing
catalogues
job

Hi all

Oooops #2 or 3. Posted the question again before it was completed. So here it is a again:

I need to do a fresh re-install of BE. How can I backup the existing
  Catalogues
  Jobs History
  Job
  Selection Lists
  Policies

Then how do I restore these after installing BE V12 again?

Thanks for your suggestions

Says it's to move  v10 or v11, but you should be able to apply it to reinstalling v12 also

Hi Ken,

I did that.

I know want to completely uninstall BE. delete all settings from Registry and start afresh.

How do I save the settings and restore then after.

I am using V12 for Small Business Server

Cheers

You can run BEUtil and select "save configuration to a file" which will create a BEDB.BAK file.  Save that and the \catalogs directory to an alternate location

Then do an uninstall, boot, install

if the catalogs directory is not there, copy it back

Then run BEUTIL and select "recover configuration from a file" and point it at the BEDB.BAK file
