How to take users data backups in NAS Storage

Hi All,

 

We want to take all users data backup to our NAS iomega storage using backup exec 2010 R2. i couldn't find option to choose NAS map drive in backup to disk option. can anyone please advise.

The drive will not show up in BE. You need to specify the UNC path, something like \\server\share when you create the B2D folder

You have to create a B2D folder on your NAS using the UNC path of the NAS before you can do backups to it

We already have shared folder on NAS storage and it is accesible on network, i defined map drive on backup server but it is not showing in backup exec while creating B2D, we can see only local drives.

Backup Exec does not support mapped drives so as suggested earlier use UNC path of the folder

created on the NAS device.

Thanks it is working, In B2D i defined \\NASserver\sharename.
