Hi,
We were going for a Symantec BE 2012 deployment of the following infra.
Three VMware host server .
One Vcenter server.
The VMware VMs were inside the SAN storage server, with two SAN switch for high availability.
A Tape library is connected with the SAN switch.
I was checking the HCL of this Tape library but unable to find this model (Page no. 90 in the "be2012_hcl.pdf" document).
Is this not compatible with the Symantec BE 2012 media server?
Tape library details:-
IBM TS3200 with FC interface (dual Drive).
Thanks.

Hi,
Pg. 87 on the HCL shows it as being supported. No worries on that.
Thanks!

Is your media server a physical one or a virtual one (tape drive access is not supported inside a virtual one)

Hi,
The media server is a physical server and I guess the Tape Library is accessable from the media server using the FC interface.

Yes, if you have zoning implemented on your FC switches, make sure to add the tape library to a zone of the Backup Exec server.
If you can see the library in devicemanager, you will be able to use in with BE.
