IDR and HP NIC

I am trying to create an IDR recovery disc for HP Proliant servers running Windows Server 2003 SP2 Enterprise.  Everything seems to work OK except the IDR CD will not bind to the NICs.  My backups are on the network and I need the nics to reach them.  Static IP addresses are used.

The  Broadcom Chipsets used in HP (abnd other vendors) servers are known to cause problems with IDR (as fast as we fix a problem Broadcom change the chipset and we end up back in same state with the next revision of servers )

First step is to make sure you are on latest Service Pack and Hotfixes for BE. Which as you have posted a 2010 version means at least

2010 R3 (13.0.5204) with SP2 and some following hotfixes.

If it still does not work then you may have a condition that required manual editing of some config files before you make your IDR CD as per information in http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH142734

If this still fails then log a formal tech support case.

Note: The other option is to see if the pre-built SDR disk for 2012 has the same problem by downloading it from http://www.backupexec.com and using the trialware link for Backup Exec on right hand side. If the SDR disk can bind the network card then I's suggest you plan an upgrade.
