I am testing IDR by backing up to disk on a data server across the network, then after preparing the IDR boot disks etc., formatting the server and restoring. The IDR boot all appears working, until it asks me for information from the "Connect to Media Server" splash screen. I am entering the server name, the domain and computer name (which is the same as the server name.... is this correct??), the user and password that veritas uses which is also a domain administrative account. On pressing next the following error message pops up "Unable to establish connection with the media server"......... Am i missing out information?, is it correct using the server and computer name the same or is the media server name specified differently some where??...... I have pinged the server i'm restoring from the data server with the backup and all appears good..... How does IDR know where the .bak file is???..... maybe on the next screen which i have not seen yet??
