Hi,
I am looking for help restoring a backup from some pretty old software. I have a Symantec Backup Exec 8.5 disk image backup of a Windows Server 2000 SP4 machine. I have restored this to a new server but get the blue screen and an "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE BSOD" error message. Looking at an old thread the advice given was pause restore by pressing CTRL - SHIFT at the "Restore Anywhere" stage. This allows me to install my own drivers. However, it doesn't accept any drivers I have for the Seagate HDD. Is this due to compatibility issues with old software and new hardware? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Short of telling me (probably correctly) to upgrade my software, any advice gratefully accepted. Thanks.
