Importante duda sobre licencias y mantenimiento

Kobalt
Level 3

As of November 2015 any customers that purchase new licenses or renew maintenance licenses wil receive new combined product and maintenance licenses (those where the serial numbers start with the letter A). Backup Exec 2012 however will not show the maintance part of such licenses as the 2012 handling of licenses is still based on the original model of separate files for maintenance and product. The consequences of this are you will see maintenance expired when you own maintenance and even though you are trying to install a maintenance license the license install screens will not show this detail either.

Note: you do not have to see maintenance details inside the console for Backup Exec to continue to work. Similarly you can still log a case with our technical support team as long as you own maintenance,  the entry does not have to be maintained inside the Backup Exec console to receive support.

With regards the display of maintenance, if you want to see maintenance details inside Backup Exec you will need to upgrade to a newer version of Backup Exec (make sure you have checked the hardware and software compatibility lists carefully before upgrading) We have no intention of providing full compatibility between these new licenses against Backup Exec 2012 as that version has already been updated twice (BE 2014 and BE 15) and is therefore end of life and not subject to further updates.
