Incremental Backup Question

I'm wondering about Incremental backup dependencies.  I use backup exec 2014.

 

I have several backup sets.  Daily, Bi-Weekly, Monthly, Yearly.  My daily backup sets are incremental.  Bi-weekly, monthly, and yearly are all full backups.

 

My incremental ones I have noticed are incremental off of the last incremental backup... rather then the last full backup.  What I really want to happen for storage purposes is my incremental backups be based off my bi-weekly backups.  That way I don't have a cascading incremental backup that I don't really need.

 

Hopefully this makes sense?  How do I configure this??

If you want to backup all the modified files since the last full back then instead of incremental you

should configure a differential backup. For more information refer to the below article.

What you want is differential backup, but there are advantages to using incremental backups.  See my article below
