After some help,
We have a new Dell Poweredge Server running Server 2016 Standard, 64bg ram 22TB for storage
Should we use Windows Data deduplication - Virtualized backup Server
Or
The built in Veritas Deduplication feature\option (we have the licence)
We need to backup around 2TB a night and i have not been impressed with the speed of the Veritas dedup and the way it uses memory like a leach.
Is there any reasons why we should not use the windows one?
Cheers Leon

Do note the following if you use Windows dedup
1) When you backup the data, it is rehydrated before it is backed up.
2) When you restore the data, you would need to have sufficient disk space to store the normal file size. For example, you have 100Gb of data which is deduped by Windows to 20Gb. When you restore this data, you need to have 100Gb of disk space.
