Hello,
First post and looking for some help!
Over the weekend we ran a new backup job for the first time. This was to be a full backup followed by incremental jobs on subsequent days. Unfortunately the initial full backup job failed with error code ‘0xe000fe36 - Corrupt data encountered. See the job log for details’.
However we catalogued the tape and could see that a large amount of data had been written to the tape. This data was searchable for the restore options after the catalogue job. The job though shows as 'failed' in the History, thought the job log only shows two corrupt PST files at the verify stage, otherwise it's OK.
The first incremental job then ran, but appeared to have attempted to back up all the data again (ie. the initial full backup job was ignored). This incremental job failed when the target storage location ran out of space.
So I am wondering if there is any way that we can make initial full backup job usable as the starting point for the incremental jobs, rather than having to run another full backup?
Many thanks!

Is this job using the remote agent on a server to perform the backup? If should not have skipped the PST .
Or is this a backup of a share \ NAS share\Cifs share where no remote agent is present ?

Hi Steve, It's a server with the remote agent.
