Install Agent Fail

Hi Everyone,

we recently had to rebuild servers and my backups are not running. Here is one of the errors below:

 

 

I tried pushing the agent software out to the servers and it gets about 60% done and then fails

The error code is Install failed with error code 1603

i have turned off the firewall on the computer and it still fails

suggestions and help would be appreciated! need to get this running soon!

Hi Ray, Try a manual install

Hi Ray,

 

Try a manual install as per the TN below:

Also make sure any firewall running is either turned off or allows port 10000 through, and any AV installed is disabled during the installation...had McAfee cause issues with remote installations before.

tried both and the agent install went successfully as manual install.

now i am getting different errors. if you could point me in the direction to get both of these resolved.

not sure which login i need to change or how to change it to make sure it is correct. we do have a service account in active directory called backup that symantec BE is supposed to use for everything.
