Installing License on Backup Exec

Hello Support -

I need some help in how to install licenses on our Symantec Backup exec. I have received Symantec license file for serial number M 6225110401 M1625310053 which are included in a zip file. The zip file contains a '.tlf' file containing XML with the license information. How do I install this on our Backup Exec?

Are you using BE2010 or BE2012 ?

If BE2010, you need to contact Symantec Licensing support to request downgrade keys for the 2010 version.

Installation and Licenses ---> Install Options and Licenses on this Backup Exec Server.

Hi we are using BE 2010 R3 - does this mean the keys have to be downgraded? Thx

Yes, they will supply you with the necessary key for BE 2010.
