BE 15 supports RHEL 5.11, but it does not support the SymSnap driver. I am not sure if SymSnap (AOFO) support will be provided for this version or not in the future.

Try uninstalling the Be 2014 agent and then run the install for BE 15.

When uninstalling the RALUS, Uninstalling SymSnap driver failed. Please advise.

Did it state 'RALUS successfully uninstalled' at the end ?

For RHEL 5.11, the SymSnap driver does not get installed as the Advanced Open File Option isn't supported for this version of Linux. This is expected behavior.
The SCL confirms this - https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH227896.html

This is not support in redhat 5.11 by BE2015? Which version will support?

Does it mean the system or user file, or database which is in use cannot be backup if SymSnap drive is not installed on redhat 5.11 ?

This is what the SymSnap driver (Open File Option) does - https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.HOWTO99543.html

Hi VJware,
Is this driver installation included in BE2010 linux agent before? Before we upgraded redhat to 5.11, we can run BE2010 agent on 5.7, but not sure if AOFO is enabled before.

You may check it here
/etc/VRTSralus/ralus.cfg
Software\Symantec\Backup Exec For Windows\Backup Exec\Engine\RALUS\DisableOFO=1
if the valuse is 1 it is OFF

AOF for Linux machines only started with BE 2012/2014.

This parameter is to forcibly turn off AOF on Linux machines. If the value is set to 0, it does not mean that AOF is used. The job can also specify that AOF is off.
