I'm trying to recover from a USB drive from a few months ago. The USB drive is called "Backup_July" but that name is no longer in the BE database.
When i plugged in the drive, BE automatically added the default new drive "Disk Storage 0001" but when i go to inventory it, i get this error:
Final error: 0xe0008115 - Physical Volume Library Drive or Robot paused, offline, or disabled.
I also see that BE recognized the old name in an info blurb where it stated the following:
"Symantec recommends that you run an Inventory and Catalog operatins after you recreate a disk-based storage device."
My question is, if i create a new disk-based storage device and i point to the drive with my historic data on it, will it get wiped out?
