I am still having problems with creating IDR bootable media, I am running Windows server 2000 with SP4 installed, when creating IDR media i am using a windows server disk with integrated SP3. Additionally installed Hotfix 24 and 44, however this results in errors when creating the media "files not found" example Benchmrk.vs_ & qntm3520.vs_............... if i try the media it boots ok (CD image), however ends with the error .sif corrupt / missing, i thought hotfix 44 was intended to solve this or am i running into more problems as my systems running SP4?????

Have you tried creating an SP4 CD and using that?

(Tho http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/237486.htm says that SP3 is the latest version supported)

Thanks for the fast reply, downloading SP4 now. Any ideas or suggestions with the missing files, guessing they are from a cataloge file from Veritas ??, maybe another hotfix i need to apply ??? .......

You can't use just SP4 CD.

You will need to create a SP4 slipstreamed copy of the Windows 2000 CD.

How to do this can be found here -
http://bink.nu/Bootcd/
or you can also do a search on google.

Then when the IDR wizard asks for a CD, use that one.
