Hello All,

I am in way to upgrade to symantec backup exec 2012 version .

Would I be able to restore the tapes that are backed up from a 10d version?

And would I be able to restore a backup file that is backed up in 2012 from a 10 d version?

Regards,

Yogesh

When it comes to communicating with Remote Agents than BE2012 can communicate with BE2010

but not with BE12.5 and any older version of BE. So BE2012 is not backward compatible with BE10d.

However through BE2012 you should be able to restore data which was backed up by BE10d.

There will be advanced stuff in the BE 2012 backup that will not be understood by BE 10d.
