Hey all,
I was wondering if there is anything that can be migrated from one server with Backup Exec 2010 R3 SP4 to another server with Backup Exec 2014?
I have searched other posts and it sounds like migration is only possible when installing over the top of an already installed BE
Will catalogs be compatible when copied over? (I assume the Data folder can't just be copied as that would mess it all up)
A clean install may still be good anyway just to make sure there is no clutter. (If migration is not possible)
Thanks!
Steve

Yes. You can do a clean install of BE 2014 and migrate the catalogs from BE 2010 to BE 2014. See this document

If you do this, your present jobs will not be kept.

Thank you pkh,
I am aware of how to migrate, I was mainly asking for confirmation that catalogs can still be restored if I just copy them over to a newer version of BE (Compatibility wise), which you have answered
As mentioned I was kind of hoping to do a clean install as the current BE is cluttered and it's not too much effort to re-create
Thanks,
Steve
