Hi there,
I would personally start by disabling your antivirus during the installation. I have had McAfee break installations, and cause installations to abort due to it scanning at the same time.
Do that, try again, and post the results. You can always re-enable your AV once done, and put in an exclusion for the BE services if it continues to cause operational issues.
Laters!

Mmm...try installing the version of .Net on the disk first, and then run the installation again...
09-15-2010 10:16 AM
which version do you mean? 1.1? 2.0? 3.0? 4.0? .... :)

If you check the installation disk, you will see the following (in 2010):
BE --> WinNT --> Install --> DotNetFX
Install it manually from there...
