Hello All,

I need help, I got the error message attached to this message while trying to perform a inventry and catalogue now, while trying to restore folders from a tape. I will appreciate your help

What is your tape drive brand and model?

Do backups still work?

Have you power cycled?

Have you run the tape drive vendor diagnostics?

Was this working before or is this a new setup?

If this is an HPE tape drive for instance, they have LIbrary and Tape Tools (actually any drive manufacturer should have some form of diagnostic tool). Stop the BE services and run it against the drive to rule out hardware errors.
