I´m tryingto see why my backup failed, but when I try to open teh Job Log I get an erro messsage that I attached wit a screenshoot.
It shows the messsage:
One or more errors were encountered converting the job log into a web page for display. The job log will be dispalyed in text format.
Catastrophic failure.
583574 C:\Program Files\Symantec\Backup Exec\data\BEX_MRMSERVER2_00378.xml
Any idea which colud be the problem?

...repair .Net and see if this happens again. If it does, run a repair of BE itself through Add/Remove Programs.

That happens when sometrhing bad happens and the XML file doesn't get completed & closed properly. Try looking at the xml file with a text editor to see what you can glean.
Also look at your Windows event logs at that time frame to see if you had a BE service crash or something.

What is the version of BE, SP and hotfixes are you using?

I´m using BE Version 13 Rev 5204 on Windows 2003 Server.

Is your core question related to ONE job that failed? or the inability to open ANY job log?
If you cannot open ANY job log, then the .net and XML parser are probably good suggestions.
But if you are trying to find why ONE job failed and has an incomplete job log, then I doubt that .net and XML parser issues are related.
