Job status

HI Guys,

I am a new member of this forum and this is introducing my self. Whenever I try to do a label media job or inventory or unlock library, my job status shows ready but it doesn't run. The other jobs like backup and restore run. I use a robotic library on a SAN

Initially Disable the Library by right clicking the library and uncheck enable. Right click the library and delete.

Recycle all backupExec services.

Hi Mani,

I have tried to delete the library after disabling it but the delete option is not active. i really don't know why. what do you mean by recycle the backup services? do you mean restart the services. I also ran the SGMON utility. Is it meant to correct the problem

We would like to know whether the Robotic Library is properly recognized by Backup Exec. If the Robotic Library is properly recognized then you would be able to see all the drives and the slots in Backup Exec and you would also be able to delete the library once the drive is disabled.

Recycling Backup Exec services means to stop and restart all Backup Exec services. SGMon utility does not correct the problem but helps us identifying the problem. A log is generated when you perform utility jobs like inventory, erase etc.
