Jobs hangs randomly

Hello,

My job hangs randomly, it seems that it is due to the mailboxes backup as when I check the job activity I can see that it is connected to the exchange server but I cannot see the current backup file.

The job stays in running state but does nothing, I cannot even canceled it or stop the Job Engine service. The only way to stop it is to restart the server.

I have no alert notifications.

Can somebody help me on this issue please ?

I have separated the mailboxes backup from the rest to check that it is really the mailboxes the source of the problem.

Hi,

Is Exchange installed on remote server? Ensure that the version of beremote.exe on both the servers is the same.


On Exchange server browse to the registry key given below
HKey_Local_Machine > Software > VERITAS > Backup Exec > Engine > Exchange > Bypass MBox properties
Change the above key's value to 1.
