Just upgraded 11d from build 6235 to build 7170 and now backups are Extremely slow....

Yesterday I upgraded our media server from Backup Exec build 6235 to build 7170 and installed SP5.  I also updated all of the Remote Windows Agents to build 7170 as well.  My B2D jobs are only moving at 52 MB/min!  Nothing else has changed.  Under 6235 the rates were @ 420 MB/min or higher.

Anyone else expiereince the same thing?  or have any ideas to correct it?  I'm trying to avoid uninstalling and going back to 6235.

Before you do anything, delete your partitions.
Go into disk part, and recreate them with a disk alignment of 64

Then format like normal, but since it may be a dedicated B2D location, format with larger blocks.

Then test again.

Also, B2D causes heavy fragmentation, so plan ahead with a good maintenance plan.
